Programme Overview

The Bachelor of Management Studies (Honours with Research) — IIMK BMS — is IIM Kozhikode's four-year undergraduate management programme. The first batch, 2026–30, will be delivered at the institute's Kochi Campus. The programme runs across eight semesters on a credit-based curriculum, pairing a Major in Management with a choice of stackable Minor specialisations.

Key Dates — BMS 2026–30 Batch

• Applications open: 20 February 2026
• Applications close: 25 April 2026
• Admit cards released: by 6 May 2026
• IIMK BMS Aptitude Test: 19 May 2026
• Personal interviews: third week of June 2026
• Academic session begins: first week of August 2026

Eligibility Criteria

• Successful completion of the Class XII examination, or a diploma from any stream recognised by the relevant boards of the Government of India.
• Original mark sheets and certificates must be produced on or before 31st July 2026 for provisional admission to the 2026–30 batch. Final mark sheets and school leaving certificates must be submitted subsequently.
• All candidates are required to appear for the IIMK BMS Aptitude Test as part of the admission process.

Admission Process

IIMK BMS Aptitude Test

The IIMK BMS Aptitude Test (BMS AT) is a computer-based, multiple-choice test administered at designated centres. It has two sections:

• Verbal Ability
• Quantitative Ability

Shortlisting — Aggregate Index Score

Eligible candidates are shortlisted for the Personal Interview based on an Aggregate Index Score (AIS), using the weightages below.

Personal Interview

Shortlisted candidates appear for a Personal Interview conducted in Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Kozhikode, Mumbai, or New Delhi. The process runs for a half-day (morning or afternoon). The panel evaluates each candidate on academic effort and disposition, general awareness, attitude, personality, communication, and overall fit with the programme.

Final Selection

After the interviews, a final score is computed using the weightages below. A category-wise merit list is then prepared, and admission offers are made in accordance with Government of India reservation norms.

Candidates receiving an admission offer must remit ₹1,00,000 with their offer acceptance to confirm the seat, followed by registration on the designated day and payment of the balance fee.

Fees — BMS 2026–30 Batch

The Annual Programme Fee is ₹7,00,000 per year across all four years, split across two semesters. The annual fee is inclusive of tuition, digital and library resources, books and study material, examination, orientation, student support, workshops and administrative charges.
