About the Department
The Department of Psychology at Mount Carmel College was established in 1973. From a sole faculty member, the Department has now grown into one of the largest in the college, comprising fourteen full-time faculty members. The Department offers Honours and Dual-major degrees alongside Economics, Sociology, Journalism, English Literature, and Communicative English. This allows students to develop an innovative interdisciplinary approach, using Psychology as a pivot to appraise the world better.
The department also offers a research-intensive degree at the Master's level since 2015. The emphasis will continue to remain on cultivating a college-community interface, extending the impulse of knowledge and culture of social conscientiousness.
Eligibility
Candidates are required to attain a minimum of 50% for the general category and 45% for SC/ST. They must have studied the same subjects in Class 12 as their professional pursuit at Delhi University and be of Indian descent. Each candidate must submit three applications to Participating Universities, each with three CUET-selected curriculum options. While candidates can apply for CUET alongside the university's qualifying exam, they must present the passing certificate during counselling.
